A vibrant tribute to the jazz way of life

Conceived as a tribute to Hugues Panassié, an iconic figure who elevated jazz to the status of a true way of life, La Fabrique du Jazz has its roots in the authentic atmosphere of the ‘Panassian’ years.

This unique festival seeks to recapture that special magic by revisiting the great classics that shaped the passion of this visionary critic.

But far from being content with mere nostalgia, La Fabrique du Jazz resolutely demonstrates its determination to challenge established traditions. By throwing its doors wide open to new generations and contemporary developments within the genre, the festival builds a bold bridge between heritage and innovation, between tradition and modernity.

Trio Loco Cello

A tribute to Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli

Loco Cello, this extraordinary string ensemble, pays a vibrant tribute to Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, reinvigorating the legacy of this legendary 1930s duo with panache. A sincere and deeply original tribute, where the elegance of the strings is set alight by the touch of jazz. Every note is a tribute, every improvisation a rebirth. The incandescent swing of one blends with the ethereal sensuality of the other in a modern and refined reinterpretation.

Louise Jallu Quartet

Virtuoso bandoneonist nominated for the Victoires du Jazz

Louise Jallu, a virtuoso bandoneonist nominated for the Victoires du Jazz, presents her new album, accompanied by her quartet.

In this new realm of ‘Jeu’, Robert Schumann, Alban Berg, Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Arnold Schoenberg, Georges Brassens – and many others – play hide-and-seek with Louise Jallu and her bandoneon-led ensemble in a piece where the back-and-forth between past and present is in full swing. In her compositions, Louise Jallu delightfully deconstructs and reconstructs iconic themes from classical music, to which she adds touches of French music, influences from blues, jazz, world music and contemporary music.

Featuring Louise Jallu (bandoneon and composition), Grégoire Letouvet (piano and keyboards), Karsten Hochapfel
(electric guitar), and Alexandre Perrot (double bass)
