Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience will open on October 19, 2024 at Montauban’s Jardin des Plantes.

Presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Fever and Grand Montauban Communauté d’Agglomération, this extraordinary experience will delight Harry Potter fans of all ages from October 19.

For the first time in France, they’ll have the chance to explore a luminous trail inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest and dotted with magical creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.

Join us at Montauban’ s Jardin des Plantes to discover the magic of the Harry Potter universe.

  • What is Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience?

    Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience invites visitors to stroll through an enchanted forest, populated by magical creatures and moments from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts saga. This open-air light trail inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest will take visitors back to some of their favorite moments as they explore, after dark, the sounds, lights and special effects that bring the wizarding world to life.

    The experience is both immersive and interactive. Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience offers fans a new way to enjoy some of the most iconic and magical moments in the wizarding world.

  • Where does this experiment take place?

    This experience will take place at the Jardin des Plantes, in the heart of Montauban.

  • How long does the experiment last?

    The tour lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. Each visitor is free to explore at his or her own pace. Once completed, visitors can enjoy the village for as long as they wish.

  • Are there any actors?

    There are no actors involved in this experiment.

  • What impact does such production have on flora and fauna?

    What measures are taken to protect them?
    We strive to reconcile entertainment with the protection of the site and its ecosystem, in order to minimize the impact of the experience on the flora and fauna of the Jardin des Plantes. To achieve this, we are limiting the sound and light levels in areas where sound and light effects are used. The woods will be plunged back into darkness each evening.

  • Is the experiment planned for other cities in France?

    Montauban is the first city in France to host this experiment. It will be the only city to host the experiment in Europe this year.
