Harry Potter: the Forbidden Forest experience

Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience invites visitors to stroll through an enchanted forest, populated by magical creatures and moments from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts saga. This open-air light trail inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest will take visitors back to some of their favorite moments as they explore, after dark, the sounds, lights and special effects that bring the wizarding world to life. At the end of the trail, visitors will also find a themed village where they can enjoy delicious food and drink, as well as a gift store selling Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise.

Designed for the whole family and fans of the saga, this experience offers a new way of discovering the magic of the wizarding world.

The experience is both immersive and interactive. Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience offers fans a new way to enjoy some of the most iconic and magical moments in the wizarding world.

This experience will take place at the Jardin des Plantes, in the heart of Montauban.

The tour lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. Each visitor is free to discover it at his or her own pace. Once completed, visitors can enjoy the village for as long as they wish.

There are no actors involved in this experiment.

What measures are taken to protect them? We strive to reconcile entertainment with protection of the site and its ecosystem, in order to minimize the impact of the experience on the flora and fauna of the Jardin des Plantes. To achieve this, we are limiting the sound and light levels in areas where sound and light effects are used. The woods will be plunged back into darkness each evening.

Montauban is the first city in France to host this experiment. It will be the only city to host the experiment in Europe this year.

Yes, we encourage visitors to take photos throughout the experience.

There is no minimum age, however, as this is a trail lit up at night and containing magical creatures, younger children may be frightened by certain elements. For this reason, we recommend that all children under 12 be accompanied by an adult.

At the end of the route, visitors will find a village with various stands offering themed food and drink inspired by the Harry Potter universe.

This is an open-air course which will remain open in the event of rain. Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately and may bring small personal umbrellas. Large golf umbrellas are not permitted.

Several parking lots are available around the Jardin des Plantes. Full details of the various parking lots are available on the experience website.

The experience is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The number of people in each session is designed to ensure that each visitor can enjoy the experience in the best possible conditions.

The garden has a pre-existing path which we will use for most of the proposed walking trail. The remainder will follow a pre-existing track, which will be improved for the experiment.

The experiment will be presented at the Jardin des Plantes from October 19, 2024 to February 2, 2025.
