With around ten car parks and 800 free spaces less than 5 minutes’ walk from Place Nationale, parking in Montauban is easy.

With its blue zones and park-and-ride facilities for car-sharing, Montauban is able to accommodate everyone who wishes to visit, whatever their mode of transport.

Two hours’ free parking at the Consul Dupuy, Occitan and Griffoul car parks on Saturdays between 2 pm and 5 pm.

Good to know
  • Free parking for the first 20 minutes at the Griffoul car park
  • Free on-street parking every day between 12 noon and 2 pm and from 7 pm onwards in metered parking zones
  • 30 minutes’ free parking in the blue parking zones in the town centre
  • On Saturday mornings, the ‘market shuttle’ runs from the Eurythmie car park to the Esplanade des Fontaines for €0.60 return
  • The city bus network is linked to the free park-and-ride facilities set up on the outskirts of Montauban

Part of the car park is now a blue zone, to ensure that vehicles rotate.

>> Blue zones apply from Monday to Saturday, from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm (excluding public holidays).

>> Parking in the blue zone is free for 30 minutes or 1 hour (Place Lalaque)

>> A parking disc is compulsory. The European parking disc must show the time of arrival. The municipal police check the information on the discs (the time of arrival) and the duration of parking, and issue fines to offenders.

To promote electric mobility, the local authorities in Tarn-et-Garonne have delegated responsibility for “electric vehicle charging points” to the departmental energy authority (SDE 82).

The town and its surrounding area are continuing their efforts to promote clean energy and sustainable development.
