Description
Ladies and gentlemen, dreaming children and storytellers…
Today, you are going to hear a very special tale. A tale that has never been told before. A tale that does not yet exist… This simple idea is the starting point for the show. What if the story didn’t exist yet? What if, to tell it, one had to invent it together with the children, right before their eyes? "The Tale Never Told" begins as an invitation. A magical character appears on stage, accompanied by her faithful parrot Coco—a chatty, mischievous bird. Together, they possess a strange power: the ability to conjure up characters from another time. Suddenly, amidst a cloud of smoke, an unexpected figure emerges: Charlie Perrault, the imaginary daughter of Charles Perrault.
Everyone knows Perrault’s fairy tales, but no one knows Charlie’s story. So, with the children’s help, she decides to write a tale of her own...
Writing, direction, and performance: Julien Lubek and Cécile Roussat
