INVENTORYING THE CITY OF THE DEAD by Sarah Gerber, inventory officer

Meet at the cemetery entrance on Rue de l’Égalité. A heritage inventory is currently underway at the Villenouvelle cemetery. Accompanied by the CIAP inventory officer, discover the significance of this study and learn about a profession that lies at the intersection of art history and archaeology. Take a closer look at local funerary architecture, the graves of men and women recently rediscovered, and some unexpected works of art.
