Description
The faces of the American continent are featured in the Conservatory's musical and choreographic evening.
On Saturday, June 6, join us at the Eurythmie Hall for the traditional musical and choreographic evening hosted by the Grand Montauban Conservatory.
This musical and choreographic evening is a regular and eagerly anticipated event in the Grand Montauban Conservatory's season. On Saturday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m., at the Eurythmie Hall, it will bring together student musicians and dancers on stage for a program inspired by the diverse facets of the American continent, in a constant dialogue between music and movement.
From the vibrant colors of Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" to the jazzy sounds of George Gershwin, including the essential "Rhapsody in Blue," the concert will also feature the hypnotic and repetitive soundscapes of Philip Glass, before moving on to the passionate rhythms of Astor Piazzolla, notably "Libertango," and then the sensitive and contemporary world of Justin Hurwitz with the music from "La La Land."
Between Music and Movement:
The program will showcase the three choreographic disciplines taught at the Conservatory: classical ballet, contemporary dance, and jazz dance.
This evening will highlight the richness of the instruction provided, the students' dedication, and the collective energy that animates the institution.
