AN INCREDIBLE PROGRAM

Thursday, June 19

HE’LL BE THERE! In the heart of the Jardin des Plantes, to the delight of Montauban en Scènes festival-goers! French artist Soprano will open the summer festival in “the pinkest of pink towns”! Soprano is the artist Montauban fans and beyond have been waiting for! The rapper, singer and songwriter from Marseille is filling stadiums. He promises to sell out his Montauban en Scènes show… Opening for Soprano, the audience will be joined by Toulouse singer Dinaa, whose track “Lisa” has topped the million mark on streaming platforms! She will be followed by Jungeli, a young singer-songwriter best known for his track “Petit Génie”!

Friday June 20th...?

On Friday, on the main stage of the Jardin des Plantes, artists Kelvin Mercer and Vincent Mason will offer their songs, marked by positive and joyful wordplay, as much as their striking personality and talent, to a conquered audience. Kelvin “Posdnuos” Mercer, Vincent “Maseo” Lamont Mason Jr. and David Jude “Trugoy the Dove” Jolicoeur. The band established itself thanks to producer Prince Paul, and enjoyed great success with the release of their debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, in 1989. Considered one of hip-hop’s masterpieces, the album propelled the group into a new dimension, combining an uncommon science of sampling with loose flowing songwriting tinged with hippie imagery and social criticism. It’s a unique style created by these middle-class kids, which sets them apart from the groups of the time, such as Public Enemy or Dr. Dre’s NWA, whose songs denounce racism and injustice with unprecedented virulence. On this day, come and discover Adé, who has just released her first country-folk album: the girl we discovered with her overexcited soul in the band Thérapie Taxi is now aiming to win the favor of the international rock scene. “If the game is a race, I’ll arrive in a helicopter” sings Féfé right from the intro. It’s a laughable way of saying that, after 25 years in the music business and numerous gold discs both solo and with his group Saïan Supa Crew, this unclassifiable artist is flying his own musical sky.

Saturday, June 21st

On Saturday, festival-goers will be cheering on Jean-Louis Aubert. The singer-songwriter has been a fixture on the French rock scene for decades. The performance by the singer of the legendary Téléphone and Les Insus bands is guaranteed to leave its mark on the festival. Before Jean-Louis Aubert takes the Montalban audience by storm, Bordeaux duo Franck & Damien take to the stage with their folk-pop-rock style! A third artist has yet to be announced… And to round off this already memorable evening, Eagle-Eye Cherry, whose career took off with the hit “Save Tonight” and who continues to evolve as an artist. Her 6th studio album ” Back on Track “, released in 2023, reflects the influences of her teen idols and marks a confident return after periods of self-doubt. It draws on the challenges of the pandemic and a renewed appreciation for live performance.

Sunday, June 22

The festival closes with a bang: renowned saxophonist Ferdi dusts off jazz before performing Synapson, an electronic music group formed by DJs and childhood friends Alexandre and Paul. Lamomali tour, -M-, 40 musicians and their world rhythms will close Montauban en Scènes with a show that promises to be unforgettable! On Sunday, the Lamomali tour promises to be an emotional experience for -M-. Mathieu Chedid will be joined on stage by over 40 artists! A superb exclusive for Montauban en Scènes, which in 2023 already welcomed -M- alongside Fatoumata Diawara. The two artists delivered an emotional performance that festival-goers still remember…
