Montauban Marathon

2026 - 18th edition

The 18th Montauban City Marathon will take place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026. More than just a great weekend of sport and festivities, this year’s event is aimed at families, with a host of activities planned in the ‘village’, and also under the banner of solidarity: €1 from each entry will be donated to the Philia association, set up in 2023. The association works to give children with disabilities or from isolated families or those in difficulty the chance to share and play. It’s a simple gesture that makes the effort even more worthwhile!

Montauban Marathon

The number of runners rises to 5,000

This spring, Montauban will be pulsating to the rhythm of running! On 28 and 29 March 2026, the Montauban Marathon will be back for its 18th edition, with a major milestone: the maximum number of runners is set to rise to 5,000, confirming the scale and appeal of an event that is now a must-attend at national level. In 2025, 4,500 participants took the start. A record since the event’s inception. In 2026, the organisers are opening up a further 500 race numbers, to enable even more runners to take part in this great sporting event in the heart of a city that has been awarded the “Active and Sporting City” label.

A great opportunity to discover

Montauban pink city

The 2026 marathon will live up to its reputation as an urban race, with most of the route being on roads. As usual, it will be run over two loops, with few changes from previous editions. There will be virtually no change in altitude. Intra-city, the route offers runners a chance to get away from it all and challenge themselves at some of the most emblematic sites in the city of Ingres, while those accompanying them can choose the best photo spots, including the Esplanade des Fontaines and the Ancien Collège, the Ingres Bourdelle Museum and so many other Montalban sites. A great opportunity to discover the city’s heritage sites:
