Conductor Constantin Trinks has already brought renown to the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse in the music of Strauss, which is dear to him.
The magic will be back with his Metamorphoses for 23 string instruments, a poignant piece composed in 1945. Other strings, plucked this time, will resonate under the fingers of Toulouse guitarist Thibaut Garcia, winner of the "Instrumental Soloist" award at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2019. The four dance-like movements of Rodrigo's Fantasy for a Gentleman envelop the orchestra in a light and warmth that then blossom fully with Beethoven's dazzling Symphony No. 4, a work of optimism rarely seen in the composer.
