LA RUE KETANOU
FRENCH ALTERNATIVE MUSIC
Hundreds, thousands flock to LA RUE KETANOU concerts! Loyal fans, seasoned listeners, curious newcomers, converts—all are always ready to dance along to the choruses and liberated verses. And it's all there, in the story this band and its audience tell, in this shared passion that has continued for over two decades. A band recognized and respected for its aesthetic and integrity. Freedom of expression. Freedom of inspiration. Freedom of time, too. Because that's how these guys are: whimsical, adventurous, and always ready to unwind.
For over twenty years, La Rue Kétanou has cultivated a free and fraternal style of music. Led by Florent Vintrigner, the group brings together the diverse energy of Mourad Musset, the ensemble spirit of Olivier Leite, the nomadic flair of accordionist Pierre Luquet (who joined in 2016), and now, the blended groove of percussionist Narjess Saad, a free spirit trained by Guem and formerly with Playing For Change (Manu Chao).
HYL
Songwriter.
He defines himself as somewhere between pop and rap, with a colorful electro sound. His lyrics create melodies in the vein of Orelsan, Gaël Faye, or the infectious energy of Thérapie Taxi, poised between carefree abandon and profound awareness. HYL explores everyday life with sincere and luminous lyrics. Since September 2021, his project has continued to grow, with over a hundred venues and festivals added to his tour in France, along with opening acts, awards, national press coverage, and expansion into Quebec—all independently since its inception.
A new EP is expected in May 2026, a polished project whose lyrics and production reflect years of research and the journey he has undertaken. This vibrant eclecticism is HYL's signature, as moving as it is catchy. Singles are already being released, paving the way for the EP's launch.
