Documentary by Max Keegan. USA, UK, France. 1h41.
In the French Pyrenees, the reintroduction of bears into a pastoral community reignites tensions within a mountain village. While some advocate for conservation, others find their sheep killed. The film follows an aging shepherd and a teenager passionate about nature and animals. Both are fascinated by the bears, spending days and stormy nights deep in the mountains waiting for them, watching them, and catching glimpses of them.
Screening attended by director Max Keegan, co-hosted by Gilles Béchard. In partnership with Tarn-et-Garonne Biodiversité.
