Kingo Gondo, an executive at a major shoe manufacturing company, decides to pool all his assets to buy the shares needed to gain a controlling interest. Just then, he learns that his son Jun has been kidnapped and a ransom is being demanded. A shocking twist follows: it is not Jun who has been abducted, but Shin’ichi—his chauffeur’s son. Gondo now faces a dilemma: should he spend his entire fortune to save another man’s child?
