Description
The Blandine Roques Gallery presents Didier Estival.
Opening reception Thursday, May 28.
The fabulous world of Didier Estival is on display at the GALERIE BLANDINE, much to our delight.
Didier Estival was born in 1962 and lives in Rodez. A self-taught artist, he has been drawing since childhood.
"I don't belong to any particular school of thought, any specific movement. Billions of cells, billions of neurons, billions of plant and animal species. Women, men, children, infants, networks, vessels, communications. For billions of years, this intrinsic world multiplies endlessly, dies and is reborn in one form or another, but eternally. To see, to hear, to feel, to experience, to observe what teems beneath our feet, above our heads, within our bodies, and which lives and dies and sings and is silent and gets wet and erect and cries and orgasms and cries and laughs and stinks and smells good. It walks, it flies, it crawls, it dances, it runs. We walk, swim, fly over this nature, gentle and rough, beautiful and horrible, fragile and solid, welcoming and hostile, rare and invasive, wild and controlled. We move forward as best we can, with respect, in this precious agglomeration that is life." Didier Estival
