Description
Conservatory students on the stage of the Olympe de Gouges theatre with Le Petit Duc.
For months, students from the Conservatoire du Grand Montauban have been working on the comic opera *Le Petit Duc*, which they will present to the public at the Théâtre Olympe de Gouges on Friday, May 22.
With *Le Petit Duc*, a witty and elegant comic opera composed by Charles Lecocq, the Conservatoire du Grand Montauban showcases the work of its vocal performance students through a lively, refined, and humorous stage production.
A work from the 19th-century French light opera repertoire, *Le Petit Duc* blends misunderstandings, theatrical energy, and brilliant melodies in a world that is both tender and mischievous. Through this production, the students explore the many facets of operatic performance: vocal technique, stage presence, ensemble work, diction, and theatricality.
