The party

sports

Organised by the town of Montauban and OMEPS, the sports and leisure festival is a real highlight in the Montauban calendar, bringing together more than 80 clubs and associations on the Cours Foucault. The aim is to give everyone the chance to discover and try out the wide range of sports and leisure activities on offer in Montauban. See you on 6 & 7 September 2025

The party

the harvest

The Fête des Vendanges takes place every September at Domaine de Montels. The Romain family and their friends welcome you to discover their passion for wine and the land. A genuine tradition, this festival highlights the many trades involved in wine-making, and offers a host of events, walks and the traditional “Vignes Run Color” races. Come and take part in an old-fashioned grape harvest. You’ll be able to delve into the secrets of wine thanks to a number of workshops and tastings.

The

400 strokes

This autumn, Montauban is celebrating: it’s the kick-off to the 400 Blows festival, which pays tribute to a major historical event in the city: the siege of the town by Louis XIII in 1621. Montauban festivités and the town have been bringing this legend to life every year for over 30 years. On the programme: bandas, traditional float parades, concerts, etc. There’s plenty to keep you entertained at all the city’s landmark venues. The Cours Foucault is also home to one of the biggest funfairs in the south-west.

Good to know

On Thursday 18 September, it’s back to school time for senior citizens at Marché Gare. Come along from 9am to 5pm.

European Days

Heritage

Save the weekend of 20 and 21 September. Come and discover or rediscover the heritage of Greater Montauban. Based on the theme of architectural heritage, the CIAP is offering you some unusual opportunities to discover hidden places in our town or rediscover emblematic sites. The Musée Ingres Bourdelle and the municipal archives will be opening doors that are usually closed to the public, the Muséum will be inviting you to discover its natural heritage, and the Musée de la Résistance et du Combattant will also be open for the occasion.

The Fabrique du

Jazz

Conceived as a tribute to Hugues Panassié, the emblematic figure who elevated jazz to the status of a true art of living, La Fabrique du Jazz is rooted in the authentic atmosphere of the Panassian years. This unique festival seeks to recapture that special magic by revisiting the great standards that shaped the passion of this visionary critic.
