Virtuoso bandoneonist nominated for the Victoires du Jazz awards, Louise Jallu, surrounded by her quartet, presents her new album.
On this new playing field, Robert Schumann, Alban Berg, Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Arnold Schoenberg, Georges Brassens – and many others – play hide-and-seek with Louise Jallu and her bandoneon, the bandleader, in a game where the back-and-forth between past and present is constant.
In her compositions, Louise Jallu deconstructs and reconstructs emblematic themes of classical music with relish, adding touches of French music, blues, jazz, world music, and contemporary influences.
