“CELEBRATE YOUR GAMES” 2nd edition: Tarn-et-Garonne is rallying again to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic spirit
The departmental Olympic and sports committee, the State services, the Departmental Council of Tarn et Garonne and the city of Montauban are joining forces again to promote the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, on the occasion of the event FÊTES VOS JEUX! The 2nd edition will be held in Montauban on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, the J. Chirac sports complex in Montauban will offer numerous introductory sessions and sports demonstrations to the public, including: Aikido Budo, Athletics, Rowing, Basketball, Chess, Football, Handball, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, Tennis, Pétanque, Tae Kwon Do, Padel, Rugby, Badminton, and many more.
The departmental sports committees, with the support of their clubs, are fully mobilized for this day dedicated to physical activity and sports for all.
A discovery area showcasing Paralympic and adapted sports activities will also be offered by the "Sport-Health Centers" of the departmental committees for adapted and disabled sports, as well as by UFOLEP 82.
Olympic urban sports will be featured with the departmental skateboarding championship at the Roseraie skate park, along with BMX demonstrations at the skate park.
Key moments of the day:
• 10:00 a.m.: Opening of the village
• 11:00 a.m.: Welcome of officials for the official village tour (J. Chirac Sports Palace)
• 1:00 p.m.: 1st Tarn-et-Garonne skateboarding championship organized by the Montauban-based association "Roulez Jeunesse" at the Roseraie skate park.
The public will also have the opportunity to meet and chat with top athletes and coaches in the CHAMPIONS AREA, as well as participate in games and competitions throughout the day.
This free event is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the city of Montauban, the Tarn-et-Garonne Departmental Council, the Tarn-et-Garonne Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee, the Tarn-et-Garonne Prefecture, and the Tarn-et-Garonne Departmental Service for Youth, Engagement, and Sports, building on the momentum of the 2024 edition and looking ahead to the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Games and, above all, the Alps 2030 Games!
