Meet in the courtyard of the former secondary school

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the history of Montauban during the Second World War.

Occupied from 1942 onwards following the removal of the demarcation line, the town went through some dark times.

This tour allows you to discover not only the daily lives of the local people but also the acts of heroism carried out by the local Resistance.

Meet in the courtyard of the former secondary school

Set off to explore the memorials erected in the wake of the various conflicts of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

Whether masterpieces or simple memorial stones, they are dotted around the town, from the courtyard of the former secondary school to the Cours Foucault, and their powerful symbolism reminds us of the context in which they were created.
