The grape harvest in the Greater Montauban area

For this year’s event, the 2026 Grape Harvest Festival offers a full day celebrating the world of wine and its traditions.

Visitors will be able to watch a traditional grape harvest, featuring a draught horse, a vintage destemmer and a manual wine press.

It’s a chance to discover the techniques and tools that have been used in the grape harvest over the years.

Throughout the day, a variety of activities will complement the programme, focusing on wine, producers, craftspeople and gastronomy.

The grape harvest is a key moment in the life of a vineyard. It marks the gathering of the grapes and the start of a new stage in the winemaking process.

During the Grape Harvest Festival, visitors will be able to experience traditional grape harvesting methods and discover some of the techniques and practices associated with winemaking traditions.

The draught horse, the vintage destemmer and the manual wine press will be particularly in the spotlight throughout the day.

Building on this theme, the festival also offers the chance to discover various skills and crafts linked to the world of wine and its production.

The Grape Harvest Festival is also a convivial event, with a wide range of activities on offer throughout the day.

On the programme: wine, fine food, craftspeople and producers, as well as demonstrations of traditional trades, wine-themed activities, games, dancing and a range of other activities to discover whilst you’re there.

A farmers’ and craft market will also give you the chance to meet exhibitors and discover their products and expertise.

For the 2026 edition, new activities have been added to the programme, including a pottery workshop and a dedicated area for craftspeople.

One of the highlights of the day is the return of the Vignes Run Color for its 9th edition.

This running and walking event takes place through the vineyards of the Domaine de Montels, with a choice of two routes:

A 5 km route;
A 10 km route.
Participants will make their way through the heart of the vineyards, with bursts of coloured powder and obstacles along the route.

The 10 km race is scheduled to start at 10.30 am.

The 5 km run and the walk are due to start at 10.45 am.

A lively and festive sporting event that perfectly captures the spirit of this day dedicated to the grape harvest and the vineyard.

The Waiters’ Race will also be held during the Grape Harvest Festival.

This festive event celebrates the waiters and waitresses who promote the wines throughout the year.

The idea is to complete a course around the estate carrying a tray and glasses.

The race is scheduled to start at 5 pm.

Throughout the day, the Grape Harvest Festival will also offer visitors the chance to enjoy an area dedicated to local producers and food and drink.

Food trucks and producers will offer a variety of options for eating on site.

A craft market will also round off the programme, with artisans and craftspeople present throughout the day.

The Grape Harvest Festival thus brings together, in one place, the worlds of wine, gastronomy, crafts and a variety of entertainment.
