Albefeuille-Lagarde

Municipality of Greater Montauban
Nestled northwest of Montauban on the banks of the Tarn, the peaceful commune holds unsuspected treasures.
The “Twentieth Century Heritage” label, highlighting the enhancement, appropriation and transmission of its architectural specificities, has been awarded to it since 2016.

Did you know that?

The village owes its name to the former parish which consisted of two churches in Albefeuille and Lagarde.

The commune of Lagarde received the parish title and prospered until the early 20th century.

In 1930, the terrible flood of the Tarn destroyed the village. It will be completely rebuilt thereafter thanks to donations made by Holland.
