From the Ancien Collège, discover two routes through the town that you can read, or have told to you, in French, English or Spanish.
Discover Montauban’s main monuments.
Discover the Pont Vieux (Old Bridge), Saint-Jacques church and the cathedral, witness to the city’s rich history. From one street to the next, admire the facades of the 17th and 18th century town houses. Finally, take the time to explore the Place Nationale, the city’s turning heart since the 12th century.
Heritage information and opening times for museums, sites and monuments are also available on the app.
*For those who prefer a paper version, the “Parcours Montauban” brochure is available in French and five other languages from the CIAP and the Greater Montauban Tourist Office.
Discover this artist, a major figure in 20th-century French sculpture, through the streets of his home town. From the Esplanade des Fontaines to the Place Bourdelle, via the Cours Foucault, admire some of his major works: the Dying Centaur, The Virgin with the Offering, the Monument to the dead of the 1870 war…
This walk will also show you how Montauban honoured its child prodigy. Along the way, you’ll see the many tributes paid to Bourdelle by contemporary artists, including busts, commemorative plaques and contemporary installations.

Urban art is a protean form of artistic expression whose aim is to take over the street for creative purposes. What makes it so fascinating is that, while it can sometimes be subversive and vandalistic, it is nonetheless appreciated, and even nowadays commissioned, by the public authorities. Now a global phenomenon, it is promoted by the media, art dealers and institutions under the mainstream term “Street Art”. Street art is often ephemeral, exposed to the vagaries of the weather and to damage, and the brevity of its existence means that it is constantly renewing the forms and messages it contains.
* A modular itinerary in 8 or 12 stages. For the short version, we suggest you skip stages 3, 4, 11 and 12.
