Albefeuille Lagarde 20200623 1The village owes its name to the former parish, which consisted of two churches at Albefeuille and Lagarde.
The village of Lagarde was given the parish title and prospered until the early 20th century.
In 1930, the terrible flooding of the Tarn destroyed the village. It was later completely rebuilt thanks to donations from Holland.

The commune of Albefeuille-Lagarde would like to recover this function as a place of exchange and make this space a place of relaxation for walkers and locals alike.
