A Day for Women's Rights
at Espace Enéa in Montauban
On Sunday, March 8, Espace Enéa in Montauban is organizing a day dedicated to women's well-being to mark International Women's Day. The event is led by Barbara Limonche, a partner of the venue, a former social worker and now a phototherapist, who guides women toward self-acceptance through imagery. It aims to be an accessible respite for all those who wish to take time for themselves.
A respite to fully exist
For the organizer, this date carries an essential message: to allow women to reconnect with themselves. "Too often, they still exist through a role—wife, mother, daughter. I would like this day to offer them a space to simply be themselves."
A place true to its human values
The event reflects the philosophy of the venue founded by Laure Izaute and Carine Pimort, who champion a holistic and compassionate approach. Here, the focus is on "well-being" rather than simply feeling good: a personal journey in an intimate, human-scale setting where individual attention is paramount.
Workshops, discoveries, and opportunities for sharing
The day will offer around ten different practices: Pilates on a table, reflexology, massage, sound relaxation, art therapy, olfactory relaxation, and even portrait photography. Group workshops will alternate with more personalized sessions. The highlight: a shared meal from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, designed as a time for participants and practitioners to connect.
An initiative rooted in its local community
By bringing together nearly twenty-five partners around its project, the Enea space also aims to introduce lesser-known approaches. This is a symbolic step in the birthplace of Olympe de Gouges: "Here more than anywhere else, celebrating women's rights—including the right to well-being—is truly meaningful," emphasizes Barbara Limonche.
An event that serves as a local reminder that self-care can also be an act of self-affirmation.
