A fantastic weekend

The Cours Foucault is transformed into a veritable Olympic Village for the weekend!

The Fête des Sports returns for its traditional autumn edition, marking the end of the summer in Montauban in style.

This flagship event, organised jointly by Montauban City Council and OMEPS (the Municipal Office for Physical Education and Sport), has established itself as the unmissable highlight of the new sporting season.

Over 80 sporting worlds to discover

Imagine a vast open-air sports centre where more than 80 clubs and associations showcase their colours and their passion.

From football to archery, via tennis, badminton, volleyball, board games and even rollerblading, this sporting mosaic reflects the richness of Montalban’s community life.

Every sport has its place in this celebration of movement and pushing oneself to the limit.

Experience before taking on a role

What’s the philosophy behind this festival? Touch, try and experience before you choose. Far from being just a series of information stands, the Sports Festival focuses on an immersive experience. The numerous facilities allow visitors of all ages to try their hand at various sports in full-scale settings. A tennis racket in your hands, a rugby ball to pass, arrows to shoot… so many opportunities to discover your future passion or confirm a budding interest.

This hands-on approach turns every visitor into an active participant in their own sporting journey, ensuring they make an informed choice for the year ahead.

Entertainment and a friendly atmosphere are on the programme

Beyond the purely sporting aspect, the event celebrates the art of living together.

Inflatable games fill the air with children’s laughter, whilst plenty of surprises are in store throughout this festive weekend.

The relaxed and friendly atmosphere makes this festival a time for families to come together, where young and old alike can enjoy themselves.

Sport: a means of promoting overall wellbeing

The health sector is not to be outdone, with a dedicated hub bringing together key players in the sector.

The League Against Cancer, the blood donation association, Harmonie Mutuelle and the AMSS are raising public awareness of the importance of sport as a cornerstone of a balanced lifestyle.

This holistic approach serves as a reminder that sport transcends mere physical activity to become a way of life.

An event that shapes Montalban’s sporting identity
Year after year, the Sports Festival cements its reputation as an event that brings people together.
It embodies Montauban’s commitment to sport for all, showcasing a city where physical activity is not a luxury but a right accessible to everyone.
This vibrant weekend brings to life a community united by the values of sport: respect, solidarity and pushing oneself to new heights.
