Trained as a photographer, encounters and travels led her to realize the importance of materials in her artistic expression. Artist's books then took on an increasingly important role in her practice, enriching the visual with touch and multidimensionality.
She feels free to transform, repurpose, imagine, and create, exploring themes such as identity, femininity, human nature, the passage of time, and the environment. Drawn to alternative photographic techniques (cyanotype, Polaroid, pinhole photography, etc.), she learned bookbinding from Marjon Mudde and at the Mariemont Museum (Belgium). Her artist's books and photographs have been exhibited in Europe, Japan, and the United States.
Free admission Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Opening reception: Saturday, March 7 at 11:44 a.m.
