BALKAN PARADISE ORCHESTRA
BALKAN MUSIC – ELECTRO POP (ESP)
BALKAN PARADISE ORCHESTRA (BPO) was born in early 2015, the result of a friendship, a fascination with the "Balkan brass" genre, and the desire to create a unique brass band in Barcelona. This unique and audacious all-female group of ten wind (brass and woodwind) and percussion instrumentalists has enjoyed growing success in recent years.
Their genuine desire to have fun and express themselves freely was born from playing in street music and circus festivals, where they improvised choreography and spontaneously interacted with the audience. Drawing on these experiences, Balkan Paradise Orchestra now offers a unique stage show that conveys joy, the urge to dance, and showcases their team spirit. A blend of Balkan brass, pop, and electronic music, their breathtaking stage performances have captivated audiences worldwide. Between instrumental music, vocals, choreography, and vibrant live performances, they invite us to join them in the dance!
Part 1 – WORLD MUSIC
FIVE EARS
Having fallen into the melting pot of world music, these three emerged electrified, imbued with voices and rhythms from every corner of the globe. Five Ears is a mountain in Galicia, an oasis in Ethiopia, a jaunt to Sicily, a plunge into Japan, a horseback ride through Mongolia… A decidedly rock adventure.
Cultivating the art of delicate balances and explosive arrangements, the trio weaves a sound, a taut thread, from the factories of the Urals to the bayous of Baton Rouge, the unexpected around every corner. Languages resonate, instruments crackle, rhythms overlap. An invitation to dance, a tension in the body: movement becomes irresistible… From one stop to the next, we taste other places…
Swept along in a profusion of influences, the audience ventures forth, borders are abolished. Cinq Oreilles blends languages, shakes up grooves and traditions, all without papers, without visas!
