Illustration Workshop with the Illustrator Kam
Guest of the 2025 school program of the Lettres d’automne festival, Kam returns to Montauban with his collaborative workshop. Illustrator of numerous albums published by Le Port a jauni and Le Pourquoi Pas (Pouce, Les Lettres du rêve, La Kahute, Amour bleu), he invites participants to engage in a shared creative process inspired by his work on accumulation.
Working in small groups of 5 to 6 people, participants will first discuss and agree on a common theme. Together, they will create a large image on a “raisin”-sized sheet, where every contribution matters.
Each participant will gather graphic material using a simple and playful method of transferring marks with oil pastels. Shapes and textures will be cut out, shared, and assembled collectively to create a shared landscape, born from the ideas and gestures of everyone involved.
This workshop emphasizes listening, dialogue, and collective decision-making. It is a joyful and colorful experience, where ideas circulate, transform, and accumulate to give rise to a unique image created by many hands.
