The Grape Harvest Festival

Celebrating the soul of the land

At the heart of the Albias vineyards, the Domaine de Montels is decked out in its finest finery to host the traditional Fête des Vendanges. This exceptional day, a veritable hymn to the traditions of winegrowing, transforms the estate into a living theatre where the ancestral gestures of winegrowing are perpetuated.

At dawn, the vine rows are abuzz with excitement. The smell of fresh earth mingles with the sweet perfume of ripening grapes, creating that unique atmosphere that only lovers of the terroir know. Hand pruning reveals its secrets to the nymphs, each stroke of the pruning shears telling the age-old story of the vine. The crunch of the press sounds like a familiar memory, orchestrating the magical transformation of grapes into nectar. The initiation to tasting then becomes an exceptional sensory journey. The taste buds discover the complexity of the aromas, while the eyes learn to decipher the golden or ruby hues of the local wines. This communion with the product of the land transcends simple tasting to become a veritable education in taste.

The producers’ market étale its gourmet outings under the century-old plane trees. Farmhouse cheeses, artisan breads, homemade jams… each étal tells the story of a passion, a savoir-faire passed down from génération to génération.

The horse-drawn carriage rides punctuate this day with a delightfully relaxed rhythm, offering a unique perspective on the wine-growing landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see.

The grand repas vigneron is the apotheosis of this celebration.

Around convivial tables, conversations come alive, laughter erupts, creating that warm atmosphere that is the hallmark of hospitality in the South-West.

The Vignes Run Color adds a note of modernity to this age-old tradition, transforming the paths between the vines into a playful course where sport and discovery of the winegrowing heritage

mingle.

Fermes en Fêtes

A summer of rural authenticity

Throughout the summer season, the association Fermes en Fêtes weaves a network of authentic experiences that reveal the richness of Montalban’s agricultural world. This initiative, born of a passion to promote the local terroir, transforms each farm into ambassador of the rural art of living.

Exclusive Fridays:

The intimacy of night markets

Every Friday from 4pm to 7pm, the Ferme du Cabri’Ange in Montauban puts on its festive best to host its intimate night markets.

The originality of the formula lies in the spotlight on a different producer each week, creating a privileged encounter between the public and the artisan from our countryside.

These evenings cultivate the art of discovery: savour a still-ripened goat’s cheese, understand the secrets of making fig jam, share the experience of a passionate beekeeper.

Wednesdays at the Farm

Awakening the younger generation

The Ferme du Ramier opens its doors to children every Wednesday during the school holidays, transforming agricultural discovery into a fun and educational adventure. These special moments give the youngest visitors a chance to understand where the food they eat comes from, stroke the farm animals and take part in their daily care. This hands-on approach builds tomorrow’s citizens, aware of the value of agricultural work and respectful of the environment.

Reinventing the art of rural living

These are events that weave a new relationship with rurality, far removed from clichés and nostalgia.

They reveal a dynamic, creative agricultural world, open to the future while retaining its deep roots.

Every meeting becomes a discovery, every tasting a taste of the land, every evening a moment of authentic sharing.
