Participate in a great day of mobilization for the environment on the occasion of World Cleanup Day! Rejoignez des millions de citayens à travers le monde pour agir concrètement en favor de la planet.
On your gloves, ready? Clean up!
Like every year since 2020, the City of Bressols is actively participating in World Cleanup Day, a major global day of waste collection.
But World Cleanup Day isn't just a cleanup operation.
It's an international citizens' movement that brings together millions of people around the world, with a single goal: to protect our environment and raise awareness of eco-responsible actions.
A look back at the 2024 edition in Bressols
Last year, 15 participants, young and old, showed up on Saturday, September 21st. Together, you explored the Plaine des Jeux, the Coulée Verte, and the Route de Lavaur, after a friendly moment over coffee and pastries at the Halle.
Thanks to your commitment, nearly 286 kg of waste was collected! Here are some telling figures:
21 kg of glass
1,146 liters of packaging and paper
4 liters of cigarette butts
25 kg of residual waste
10 kg of metals
And even a few unusual finds: a pool sand filter, a pair of panties, a toilet seat...
In 2023, the global movement brought together 19.1 million participants in 191 countries.
