Olympe(s) - Creation - All audiences
1789. While France is experiencing unprecedented upheaval, Olympe, writer, director, and troupe manager, tries in vain to have her play Zamore and Mirza performed at the Comédie Française. The rejection she receives is motivated solely by the prevailing misogyny. Olympe becomes enraged by an anger as powerful as that echoing through the streets of Paris. She joins the fight, actively participating in the construction of a new society. Like many women citizens, she believes that the man in "All Men Are Born Free and Equal" is also a woman... but in fact, no... not really...

2024. Justine stages her play Olympe(s), co-written with Rachel. She breathes a modern twist into it and incorporates songs by contemporary female composers... This show is a sign that women can lead with confidence today... but in fact, no... not really...

DID YOU KNOW? Justine Heynemann, named one of the 100 Women of Culture 2023, co-wrote Les Petites Reines (nominated for the Molière Award for Young Audiences), followed by Songe à la douceur (Songe of Gentleness). This was followed by the writing of an original play, PUNK.E.S (nominated for the 2025 Molières in the Musical Comedy category) and Culottées, based on the graphic novel by Pénélope Bagieu, at the Studio Théâtre de la Comédie Française.
