12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose by the Cie de l’Embellie - Drama comedy.
A young man of modest origin is accused of his father's murder and faces the death penalty. The jury of twelve men retires to deliberate and immediately proceeds to a vote: eleven vote guilty. However, the decision must be unanimous. The juror who voted not guilty explains that he has a doubt and that a man's life deserves a few hours of discussion. Rather than seeking to exonerate, this juror simply wants to ensure that the evidence is truly incriminating. He wants to be convinced. For their part, the other jurors do not put themselves in a position to be convinced of anything. Their sole objective is to prove each other right. In fact, 12 Angry Men presents not a struggle between two opposing convictions, but between a conviction and a doubt.
