A journey to the heart of the poets' souls - All audiences
Christophe Malavoy draws on the heritage of French song, with the desire to put poetry back at the heart of our daily lives. Prévert, Ferré, Brel, Barbara, Trenet, Ferrat, and Gainsbourg are featured in this musical show, where the actor paints a vibrant portrait of these genius songwriters by performing a selection of their unforgettable works. He shares and confides in us more personal, sometimes comical, stories that have punctuated his career, not to mention some of the encounters that have nourished his choices and convictions, such as the unexpected and wonderful one with the legend of French cinema: Arletty. On piano and accordion, Roland Romanelli was Barbara's favorite musician for 20 years and for all the great names of French song.
This show is a journey to the heart of the souls of poets who have long told us, as Aragon wrote, "that happiness exists elsewhere than in dreams, elsewhere than in the clouds."
WHAT DOES THE PRESS SAY? "The emotion is overwhelming. Standing ovation. Poetry has no age." VAUCLUSE MATIN
"A timeless moment, as graceful as it is moving. On stage, a formidable actor. A marvelous singer. The audience is spellbound!" AU BALCON
