Resonances | Concert - Reflections

Reflets is born from the encounter between flamenco and Baroque music: these two musical genres share the same musical continuum and a shared taste for repetition, the ostinato. Nourished by the multiple musical universes they have traversed throughout their careers, José Sanchez on theorbo and Alberto García on vocals take us on a journey of discovery of this improbable yet obvious connection. These two artists do not limit themselves to the boundaries of flamenco. They question tradition, play with codes, and push boundaries to forge uncharted paths. They create an architecture where phrases, styles, sound colors, and rhythms duplicate, intertwine, and overlap, creating an atmosphere somewhere between trance and melancholy. From this ensemble, they create a recomposed flamenco that is nothing but their own reflections.
