Grandson of a Spanish Republican, STAG has been writing, playing and shouting since 2007 with a voice that comes from deep within his body.
STAG (Unpopular French Songs), grandson of a Spanish Republican condemned to death by Franco and another grandfather, a police sergeant assassinated in a Lyon bombing, and son of immigrants, was born on August 14, 1969, in Oullins, Rhône. He spent his early childhood in the Yzeron neighborhood and his adolescence between Irigny and Givors.
Since 2007, STAG hasn't put down his guitar; he writes, plays, and shouts.
In 2012, he released his first album, 13 tracks, followed by another album in 2015, and in 2022, the album "Clair-Obscur dans la caboche" (Light and Darkness in the Head).
A new album is currently in production.
