Valensole, Provence, summer 1965. At dawn, Maurice Masse, a farmer, discovers a mysterious craft in his lavender field that takes off at a staggering speed, leaving trails on the ground. The news draws crowds and puts Maurice in the spotlight. Faced with this sudden, unwanted notoriety, he tries to protect his family and cope. His life, that of his family, and that of this small village will be turned upside down. Based on a true story.
