Get together on the forecourt of Saint-Jean de Villenouvelle church Step back in time with a CIAP guide and immerse yourself in the history of Montauban during the Second World War. Rendez-vous at Espace Perbosc, 2 boulevard Édouard Herriot The Musée de la Résistance et du Combattant offers you an exceptional documentary screening. «1945 France Année Zéro» by Patrick Cabouat offers a gripping historical overview of this charismatic year when everything ended and everything began. Through authentic archive footage, relive day by day this very special year, which was the starting point for many rebirths and major political upheavals. A 1? hour cinematic journey that illuminates this period of reconstruction and hope.

Statues of Glory

Meet in front of the entrance to the MIB (Musée Ingres Bourdelle) From Square Picquart to Cours Foucault, set off to discover the commemorative monuments that dot our urban landscape. This 1 hour 45 minute guided tour with a CIAP guide will show you how these sculptures and monuments perpetuate the memory of those who gave their lives for freedom. Each statue becomes an open-air history book, a silent reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom today.

The cinema bonus: celebrate

50 years of

The history of Montauban also intertwines with that of cinema! On 17 September at 6pm, the Thétre Olympe de Gouges will pay tribute to the emblematic film «Le Vieux Fusil», shot within our walls and in Bruniquel 50 years ago. A festive and moving evening awaits you with a screening, concert and exhibition in the presence of special guests. The bistrot du théâtre will extend this evening of sharing over a drink or snack in a convivial atmosphere.
