Escatalens, which first appeared on parchment in 957, is a direct descendant of the village of the Middle Ages.
The streets and houses have preserved the original fabric for several centuries, despite the development of the village in the 19th and 20th centuries, which wiped out many traces of the past.
Discover the 17th-century church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, the 18th-century fountain of Saint Julien and a WW1 cannon, an artillery piece dating from 1915.
