Albefeuille‑Lagarde

City of the Grand Montauban
Nestled north-west of Montauban on the banks of the Tarn, the peaceful town conceals unsuspected treasures.
The “20th Century Heritage” label, highlighting the enhancement, appropriation and transmission of its architectural specificities, has been awarded to it since 2016.

Did you know?

The village owes its name to the old parish which consisted of two churches in Albefeuille and Lagarde.

The commune of Lagarde received the parish title and prospered until the beginning of the 20th century.

In 1930, the terrible flood of the Tarn destroyed the village. It will be completely rebuilt later thanks to donations made by Holland.
