Reyniès

City of the Grand Montauban
Nestled in the countryside, on the banks of the Tarn, Reyniès resembles these pretty villages which make up the richness of our landscape heritage.
As you stroll through its streets, squares and surroundings, observe the unique harmony of its built heritage which plunges you back into the heyday of Art Deco.

Did you know ?

Reyniès is a village where you can admire 132 art deco houses.

Following the devastating floods of the Tarn in 1930, the village gave in 1933 a new face.

Solid houses made of concrete and stone display their Art Deco facades, a style favoring straight lines and geometric shapes.

There are bow windows, intertwining roofs and verandas, pediments, cut sides, delicate friezes and sponge cakes. All in shades of red, blue, dark gray, or even flamboyant yellow.
