Since 2016, Confluences has participated in "Partir en Livre, the great national book festival for young people" and offers a program for children and families. This year, due to the health context, this national, free, popular and festive event will take unusual forms .... In Montauban, the Confluences team invites you to discover the universe of four illustrator authors: Betty Bone, Yoel Jimenez , Delphine Panique and Yohan Colombié-Vivès, through four new activities to do at home and with the family! This series of four new activities, some specially designed for the programming of Partir en livre de Confluences, is available online on the association's website. It begins with a video tutorial full of colors and poetry: Author-illustrator Betty Bone invites you to make a botanical board with simple sheets of colored paper, scissors, markers and glue! You should not put away your scissors because you will need them to invent chimerical worlds from the illustrations proposed by the Franco-Cuban plastic artist, Yoel Jimenez. Delphine Panique invites you to complete her comic book "Logbook". You can do anything, explains your website Confluences: imagine the rest of the scenario, color the drawings of the boards and even add characters! Finally with his "Imaginary walk", Yohan Colombié-Vivès, young illustrator based in Moissac, challenges you: will you be able to recognize the 28 characters who escaped from their tale or comic book to hide in his illustration? Through these plastic, educational and fun activities, the association of literary meetings does not content itself with giving new tools for family fun at home, it also invites participants to send them their creations and their responses to the "Imaginary stroll". The fastest will then be able to earn reading checks to spend in the independent bookstores of Montauban (Le bateau livre, place Nationale and La femme renard, rue de la République) Activities to do at home posted on confluences.org, the top start was given on Wednesday July 1st and you have until July 31st to participate! Four days of activities with the children of the La comète social center Throughout the year, Confluences offers, in close collaboration with the team of the Montauban social center, a series of events around reading and writing in the neighborhoods priority, especially for children. The “Going for a book” event is an opportunity to continue these actions, while offering an original program to young people who are not going on vacation. A rich program awaits the children of La Comète: two workshops (pop-up and comics) with author-illustrator Yohan-Colombié-Vivès and a discovery workshop with calligrapher and typographer Patrick Cutté. They will also discover Le bateau livre, the Patricia Matsakis youth bookstore on the Place Nationale, where they can buy books with Partir en livre's “Checks read”. Finally, the Confluences team invites them in small groups to share two afternoons of readings, games, literary naps and plastic activities in its premises at La petite comédie in Montauban.
