Visit the city, visit the Museum of the Resistance and the Combatant or even a film projection will be on the program of this day commemorating the liberation of Montauban. Combining memory and history of the Second World War, the Museum of the Resistance and the Combatant's mission is to transmit the story of the women and men who joined in 1940. As part of the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Liberation of Montauban, the museum invites you to discover its programming. > 9:30 am-11:00am: Montauban during the Second World War. City tour As you walk through the city streets, go back in time and discover the history of Montauban during the Second World War. The route will end at Place des Martyrs where 4 resistance fighters were hanged on July 24, 1944 by the German occupier. At the end of this visit, you can attend one of the ceremonies commemorating the Liberation of Montauban. Free, limited places, reservation required. > 9 am-12pm / 2 pm-5pm: free visit to the Resistance and Combatant Museum> 3 pm: screening of the documentary “Maquis et Résistance en Tarn-et-Garonne” by Olivier Faradj-Allah and Philippe Borromée (duration 27 min) > 4 p.m .: guided tour of the permanent exhibition with a special presentation of the objects and documents donated to the museum (duration 45 min).
