Discover part of the Museum's collection
"The Ingres Museum Outside the Walls" at the Old College Chapel Hall.

Housed in the former Episcopal Palace, the
Montauban Museum was created in 1820 . But it is in
1867 , on the death of Ingres, that the establishment takes its identity and its rise: the museum then inherits all the works of workshop of the famous painter of Montalban and takes the name of
    Museum Ingres .

Ingres Museum honors two illustrious Montalbanians:
Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and Antoine Bourdelle .

This brick building, overlooking the river, makes the
museum Ingres an emblematic place of Montauban .

Throughout the year, educational activities are offered by the
Cultural Action Service : games-visits, workshops, educational boxes, artistic initiation, school and cultural activities, extra-curricular activities.
