Family portraits By the Stars and Soloists of the Ballet du Capitole As part of Mars en Danse All ages Duration: 1h55 (with intermission) Kader Belarbi brings together choreographic pieces for chamber music including Faun (e) by Englishman David Dawson and two of his creations Salles des pas perdus and À nos Amours. Throughout the danced pieces, the links of a constellation of characters are woven that reveal their relationships between attachment and separation. SALLE DES PAS PERDUS In a closed room, four quirky characters drag their suitcases and their memories. As if out of time, three women and a man meet and travel in their memory. FAUN (E) Version for two dancers With Faun (e), David Dawson offers an intimate and “reversible” reading of the famous and scandalous piece by Russian choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky, The Afternoon of a Faun. A female version echoing a male version around the intermission. FAUN (E) Version for two dancers À NOS AMOURS The three ages of the couple relationship are mentioned; from the conflagration of the feelings of youth to the tenderness of old age, through the passion and heartbreaks of maturity. Three movable glass cages at three ages of life, like so many time bubbles of the passionate love of a couple.
