  • The Montauban cinephile club organizes a cine-club session at the old college MONDAY, MARCH 30 at 3 p.m. with the screening of the film "COLD WAR" by Pawel Pawlikowski (Poland, 2018) black and white film in VOSTF - duration : 1 H 25. After the critical and public success of his film "Ida", Paweł Pawlikowski directed "Cold War", a film shot in black and white, against a background of traditional music and jazz which depicts an unconditional love on background of divided Europe and uprooting. The epilogue is a radical form of returning to the sources of their history. A professional pianist and an amateur singer meet, just after the Second World War, as part of a state program aimed at putting on a show praising traditional values and the new communist Poland. Although everything opposes them, Wiktor (Tomasz Kot) and Zula (Joanna Kulig) love each other madly and are thinking of going west. While they are in concert in East Berlin, Wiktor succeeds, but alone ... For 20 years the two lovers manage to find themselves briefly or longer, especially in Paris, during the vicissitudes of the Cold War. Willing to do anything to meet, they are also able to separate to avoid the mediocrity of an existence that would not be up to their passion.
