Through these times of mediation and exchange, come and discover the surprises that the Ingres Bourdelle museum has in store for you! THE ARTWORK FROM THE OCTOBER TO DECEMBER 2020 SEASON For this first meeting with a work, the choice fell on the Étude de noir based on the Joseph model, by Théodore Chassériau. This masterpiece, which sits in the Romantics Room, on the 1st floor of the museum, has seen recent major news, thanks to the exhibition organized by the Musée d'Orsay, the Black Model. This season will be the opportunity to come back to the astonishing history of this painting, to the links between Ingres, Chassériau and this famous model Joseph, originally, like the painter, from the island of Haiti whose abundant creation will be highlighted. value throughout the season.
