Come and discover the next exhibition of photographs in the hall of the Victor Brun Museum thanks to the collaboration of the Natpixel association of naturalists and that of the Société des Sciences Naturelles de Tarn et Garonne. Its title: Funny faces among little animals! Insects and spiders will be highlighted by 36 photographs, in close-up, to discover the variety: color, anatomy, size. In fact, insects are by far the most represented group on earth with more than a million species currently described and nearly 10,000 new species inventoried each year. Spiders, which are not insects but arachnids, are known to over 75,000 species worldwide. For comparison, our planet has nearly 5,500 species of mammals and around 10,000 species of birds. But like all groups, insects and arachnids have seen their numbers decline sharply for several years. This exhibition will introduce you to dragonflies, butterflies, grasshoppers, caterpillars and other spiders in your gardens in a new light. Perhaps an opportunity to make a phobia disappear ... unless you make one appear!
