From January 19, the Ingres Bourdelle museum invites the general public to explore a part of its history through What's New Friends? Paintings, sculptures, photographs, sketches... this exhibition-file will be an opportunity to look back on 20 years of acquisitions and donations made possible thanks to the association of Friends of the Ingres Bourdelle Museum.
Throughout these twenty years, the support of the Friends of the museum has made it possible to enrich the collections, notably with the Study designed for Joan of Arc by Ingres purchased in 2023, or even contemporary works linked to our collections such as The Stamaty Family, restored by Kathleen Kilje or the charming presumed Portrait of Mme Marcel-Lenoir by Marcel-Lenoir, Montalban artist, a fund of which is dedicated to her at the MIB.
Since its creation in 1924, the association of Friends of the Ingres Bourdelle Museum has the mission, in close collaboration with the cultural services of the town hall of Montauban, to make our heritage better known by participating in the teaching of art through different cultural event to be found throughout the year.
