One day after another. The collections of the Memory Center under the pen of Nicolas Daubanes
As part of the Dess'Ingres festival, the Pôle Mémoire is organizing an exhibition by Nicolas Daubanes, contemporary artist, until November 25, 2022, which establishes a dialogue with the funds of the Heritage Library and the Museum of Resistance and Combatant around resistances that have marked the history of Montauban.

    The exhibition
Nicolas Daubanes presents a selection of works at the Pôle Mémoire, including several original creations created specifically for this exhibition. Shown alongside documents and objects from the holdings kept at the Heritage Library and the Resistance and Combatant Museum, they offer a singular reinterpretation, exploring the battles of Protestants, Occitans and Resistance fighters who, from the 17th to 20th century fought for their religion, their culture or the liberation of their country.

This poetic, material and metaphysical reinterpretation dialogues with the texts and images of the works of the Pôle Mémoire. Nicolas Daubanes mixes elements of local history, erects like a landscape, a canvas of memories and symbols. Traveling through the traces left in these moments of oppression, opposition and protest, the exhibition illustrates a resistance experienced one day after another.
