The Bressols Media Library organizes its first spring festival

An exhibition: Gardening naturally
Today, gardening means taking into account nature as it is, respecting it, and thus respecting our environment. How to be a gardener who is both responsible and creative?
This exhibition in 10 paintings addresses the following themes:
- Why respect your garden?
- Study the soil of his garden
- Natural fertilizers
- Fight pests and weeds naturally
- Attract useful animals
- Water better
- A garden for fun
- In the vegetable garden
- Go further

So if you have questions like: Is the hedgehog a useful or harmful animal in the garden? In summer, should you water in the morning or in the evening? A plant that attracts butterflies? ; Do not hesitate any longer, come to the media library of Bressols from April 04 to June 02, 2023

A seed bank
The objective: The grain library is a participatory sharing tool that helps develop social ties. Indeed, in addition to the exchange of seeds, this grain library will open up the media library to new exchanges of knowledge, know-how and experience by promoting new intergenerational encounters.
It will also promote access to a varied and healthy diet for all by offering an alternative to the purchase of seeds and by preserving the biodiversity of seeds.

How it works: The grain library is based on the system of "donation for donation", of trust in others.
1/ Empty sachets will be made available to users, in which they can take the quantity necessary for their future consumption.
2/ In exchange for taking seeds, users will use this same type of bag to drop off their seed donation(s).
3 / A tracking file will be made available to users so that they can indicate the seeds deposited, to exchange ideas or gardening tips.

We need you !
In order to be able to offer a varied choice of flowers, vegetables, legumes, aromatics or small fruits, we are calling for the donation of seeds.
Whether they come from your production or from a leftover bag that you no longer use, do not hesitate to bring them to the media library.

- On April 22, 2023 in the morning: inauguration of the grain library: Sale of plants by the association Les Tout p’tits, presentation and inauguration of the grain library followed by a glass of friendship (around 11.30 a.m. - 12 p.m.).
- The EIDOS association will offer a program on the theme (date pending)

The library
Instigator of the project, the media library will be the central point of the spring festival. It will host not only the exhibition but also the grain library
Bressols town hall
As a stakeholder in this project, the Town Hall provided both technical support (communication around the grain library, creation of the graphic identity, advice and technical assistance for green spaces, manufacture of furniture by the municipal workshops) and financial with the creation from a background of starting seeds.
The association Les Tout p’tits
Like every year, the association Les Tout P’tits organizes its annual sale of plants and flowers in April. The opportunity for the association to raise money for the benefit of the nursery school.
The association EIDOS – Cinema la Muse
Created in 1995 in Montauban, the Eidos association has been offering cultural action based on cinema for more than 20 years. Since 2015, she has been strengthening her action within the La Muse cultural center in Bressols.
