In co-production with the Bourdelle Museum in Pris, the Roubaix Swimming Pool Museum and the Rodin Museum.
The confrontation of these two sculptors, each in turn the most famous of their time, has never before been organized. The exhibition will retrace the stages of their relationship, which began with the young Bourdelle's admiration for his master Rodin, then a necessary distancing, and finally a reunion as equals that allowed Rodin to close the history of 19th-century sculpture and Bourdelle to open it to the future.
